Last weekend the 2007 “Age of Chivalry” Renaissance Faire was held at Sunset Park. There were wonderful costumes, storytellers, strolling musicians, singers, dancers and of course the villagers enjoying a festive day and reliving a bit of history.

Christopher Biro’s Pirate’s Parrot Show was pretty astonishing. Biro is a well known advocate of bird free-flight and a highly regarded trainer. He has over seventy parrots in his menagrie many of which are rescue birds. Check out his website at www.piratesparrot.com.

Rough looking group.

This brings you back to the days of yore. This kids loved this stuff.

Even a pirate ship. If you missed this years event make sure to mark your calendar for next years event.

This year’s performance of Twelfth Night will begin at 7:00pm on Friday October 5th and will be free to the public. Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies that takes fans through twists and turns of a romantic misadventure about mistaken identities, gender-crossing disguises, life’s obstacles and practical jokes. It will be performed by the acclaimed thespians Shakespeare At Play.
